And then there was one

I found some lovely glass drinking glasses at a thrift store a number of years ago.  I bought as many as I could find that matched--7.  And they were great.  (I have problems with cheap plastic glasses--I can't stand the way they feel against my mouth.)

When I moved across the country for grad school, one broke in transit.  When David came to visit me, he broke one.  The next time David came to visit me, I broke one.  After we got married, I broke one.  Then David broke one.  Then, a few weeks ago, I broke another.  Now, there is just one lone glass.

Good thing yard sale season is upon us. Good luck!

  2. David, you are down 3-2 with the chance to tie. Quickly throw the last one against the wall and then take her shopping for new glasses.

Besides, it is weird to share just one glass. ;)

  3. I tried to make the glass look lonely . . . Actually, it's just that my table comes out looking way too bright in photos, so the picture looks better in black and white.

I already have another set of glasses--I found some nice plastic ones, and I inherited some glass ones from my grandmother--but we kept using these old ones, since they're the most attractive. So, I will not be shopping for new glasses. Oh, well.
