Well, I can't say that I completed the Triathlon Challenge, but I really feel good about what I did. Here's a breakdown of my progress:
Days 1-11: Swam 0.3 miles, biked 43.6 miles, walked 7.9 miles. (A 15-mile bike ride was cancelled due to David being sick.)
Days 12-24: Sick, but still managed to walk 6.9 miles. (Campus is pretty large, and I had to be there for a few things, despite being sick.)
Day 25: Feeling good. Swam 0.8 miles, biked 6.5 miles. (Okay, let's be honest, I didn't swim 0.8 miles. But, according to the rules, attending a 1-hour water aerobics class counts towards 0.8 miles of the swim. And I did.)
Days 26-27: Rain. I probably walked about half a mile.
Day 28: Biked 12.8 miles!
Days 29-30: Maybe I overdid it; feeling sick again.
Total: Swam 1.1 miles, biked 62.9 miles, walked 14.8 miles. That's almost half of the swimming, over half of the biking, and over half of the walking. Given that I was only feeling well for half of the month, I'd say I did great.
I think that sounds awesome. October is probably not the best time for a work out program since with the weather changing people tend to get sick. Maybe you guys can try again in the spring.
ReplyDeleteI think you are suppose to feel sick after competing. Congratulations on getting out more.
ReplyDeleteYou should have made your husband complete the rest for you since you were sick. :)
Way to go. I like that idea. You are inspiring me to keep track a bit.
